Service Projects
Hospicio De San Jose
In 2010, FANCO expanded its mission to include a scholarship program to help make a difference in the lives of young students. Since then, each year FANCO sponsors one deserving individual from Hospicio De San Jose, Philippines.
Hospicio de San Jose is the oldest Catholic welfare institution in the Philippines serving people of all ages from infancy to the elderly.
It was officially established in 1810 when it opened its doors to the service of the “poor” in Manila.
Throughout the proceeding years, Hospicio de San Jose has been through a lot of survival crises; it expanded its service to the mentally ill in 1853. The Daughters of Charity were given the administration of Hospicio in 1865, which they hold to this day.

Project PEARLS
FANCO supports Project PEARLS in its scholarship project for qualified students of Gen. Vicente Lim School in Sitio Ulingan, a depressed area in Tondo, Manila. Each scholar receives an annual stipend for his books, school supplies, uniforms, and transportation allowances. FANCO supports 12 students.
Founded in 2008 by mother and daughter, Melissa Villa and Francesca Villa Mateo, initially to help Melissa's deaf and mute childhood friend and daughters who are living in a squatter area. Melissa helps in sending her friend's daughters to school. Realizing that their extra savings in dollars go a long way in the Philippines, they started sending school supplies to other school children living in different slum communities. In the summer of 2010, Melissa was introduced to the children of Ulingan by photo journalist, Sidney Snoeck. Since then, the focus of Project PEARLS' outreach efforts is in Ulingan, a slum and garbage dumpsite community where over 400 families contend all day with the heat, fumes, dust, stench, flies, mosquitoes and vermin. Project PEARLS, under the leadership of Melissa's brother, Juan Villa has a weekly Feeding Program, Scholarship Program and quarterly Medical Mission in Ulingan.
San Lorenzo Ruiz Home for the Elderly and the Little Sisters of the Poor
The San Lorenzo Ruiz Home for the Elderly in Pasay City and in Pangasinan is a project of the religious order of the Little Sisters of the Poor. Giving a home, food, and loving environment to elderly who do not have any family to care for them is the sole mission of the Little Sisters of the Poor.
Our fund-raising projects support our scholarship programs and civic activities.
